One situations where this may be desirable is when a given member repeatedly posts content not suitable to the charter of the list. In such a situation, the list maintainer can either remove the offending member from the list, or simply deny their abilty to post new messages to the list, while continuing to include the offending member in all list distributions. Blocking To change or reset a subscriber's permissions, simply go to the Distribution List administrative screen using the web-based interface. Once there, select "Modify Mailing List", and then the approprite list to modify. At this point, the Mailing List Profile of the selected list will be displayed. By selecting the "Display All Members" button, the list of subscribers will appear. For each member that you wish to change the posting permissions for, simply check the appropriate entry or entries, and depress the "Block" button to apply. A updated list of subscribers will then be displayed, with the requested changes having been applied. |
